Robin Morgan specializes in both Individual and Couples Therapy, and creates a safe space for you to tell your story, to be heard, and to be understood. Robin has been working as a therapist since finishing her Masters Degree in Social Work in 2008. After working full-time for 2 years at Crossroads Treatment Center, helping people with addictions, Robin started working as a private counsellor.
Robin is passionate about becoming the best healer that she can be. She believes that knowledge is power and continues doing ongoing training and supervision with some of the best therapies offered in North America. She is highly trained in individual as well as couples therapy. In the first 3 years that Robin spent working in her business she began to realize that there was a certain percentage of the population that were taking a longer time to complete the therapy and having more difficulty in relationships due to past trauma. Robin vowed to find a solution to this problem and so, she decided to study trauma therapy and completed a three year program to officially becoming a Somatic Experiencing (S.E.P.) Practitioner. After becoming a SEP Robin went on to complete the Masters Level S.E. classes of: Touch Therapy for Trauma and Resilience and Regulation with Early Childhood Attachment Trauma.
Presently, using Robin uses Somatic Experiencing Therapy and Emotion Focused Couples Therapy to help a number of individuals and couples to recover from feeling stuck in high activation states of anxiety, stress, and anger, as well as people stuck in low energy states of depression, helplessness, negativity and an overall lack of motivation.
She helps you recognize and change the repetitive stuck physical states, as well as emotions and behaviors that impact you and the people around you. Through counselling you will learn where these feelings or physical states (high anxiety, anger, overwhelm or low energy, despairing, hopeless) come from and release them for good so they no longer affect your life personally, socially, in relationships, at work, and with your loved ones.
